Colorado Wildfires & How to Help-Donations to Evacuees

As of October 2020, Colorado has had 3 record breaking wildfires so far this year, among other wildfires, altogether resulting in thousands of household evacuations and loss of homes, land, businesses, etc.

The Balanced Exchange is working with The Red Cross to host a supply booth of essential goods at local shelter sites and Disaster Assistance Centers (DAC) starting Monday Oct 26. We are accepting donations of hygiene and cleaning supplies to be stocked and ready for the booths. A donation receipt from The Red Cross will be emailed upon request.

To Donate Goods Through This Site:

Current Quarterly GiveBack Channel

At The Balanced Exchange, we're committed to creating lasting, positive change in our community. Each quarter we give part of our proceeds to a worthy organization dedicated to enacting system change. We know that environmental justice isn't a stand-alone issue. So when you're shopping with us, you are not only supporting small business, but participating in environmental, social and economic changes in Colorado as well.

For the third quarter of 2020, we are excited to support The Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-Being. This campus is the result of a strong partnership between the Mental Health Center of Denver and the Northeast Park Hill community, understanding that those in the community are the ones who know best how to improve their health and well-being.

Benefits of Shopping with

Zero Waste Goals:

Reduce

Packaging

Buy Just What

You Need

Support Local Economy

We are redefining "bulk shopping" from buying excess to getting just the amount you need.

Refills allow us to refuse packaging at the point of purchase, setting us free of the disposal guessing game between what can be recycled, composted or tossed in landfill.

Supporting local economy means reduced transportation costs and a lower carbon footprint. Put money into your community, not a large corporation's pocket.
